Biosketch

Xiaobo Qu is an associate professor of Department of Electronic Science at Xiamen University in China. He received the B.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in Communication Engineering from Xiamen University, China, in 2006 and 2011 respectively. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as a visiting scholar in Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology and Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. From February 2012 to July 2015, he was the assistant professor of Department of Electronic Science at Xiamen University. His research interests include magnetic resonance imaging, data processing in NMR spectroscopy, regularization methods in inverse problems, and sparse signal and image processing, wavelets and other multiscale transforms.

He has been a member of IEEE Signal Processing Society, IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, and International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. He was awarded the E. K. Zavoisky Stipend of ISMRM Scientific Meeting in 2014, Wenner-Gren Fellowship in 2014, China Construction Bank Faculty Research Award at Xiamen University in 2014, and the Educational Stipend of ISMRM Scientific Meeting in 2011 and 2012, respectively.
